Vintage Slingerland marching snare drum featuring a classic White Marine Pearl-style wrap, deep wood shell, chrome hardware, and an extended multi-strand snare system. This is an older American Slingerland drum with plenty of vintage character and would make an interesting addition to a collection, restoration project, or vintage marching setup.

The original-style oval Slingerland badge is still present on the shell, along with a Slingerland-branded strainer/throw-off. The drum also includes a white carrying strap.

Condition

This drum is in used vintage condition and shows considerable cosmetic wear from age and previous use. The wrap has yellowed/aged naturally and shows scratches, marks, discoloration and other imperfections. The chrome hardware has scratches, oxidation, tarnishing and general finish wear.

The batter head is heavily worn and has a large red tape “X” across it, so we would recommend replacing the head before serious playing. The bottom head also shows scratches and age-related wear.

The extended snare system is present, but the individual snare strands show age and are uneven in their current setup. Because of the age of the drum, it may benefit from adjustment or servicing before regular use.

A very cool piece of vintage Slingerland marching percussion history, with an attractive aged White Marine Pearl appearance and distinctive extended snare setup.

Includes the drum and carrying strap shown. Sold in its current vintage condition.
