From the personal collection of acclaimed drummer Mark Schulman, whose extensive touring and recording career includes work with P!nk, Cher, Foreigner, Billy Idol, Stevie Nicks and numerous other major artists.

This unique stave shell handcrafted snare was built by Australian boutique drum maker, Gary Peterson of GLP Woodworks in 2007.

The drum features a substantial stave-constructed Bubinga shell, built from individually joined vertical blocks of dense African hardwood rather than conventional thin horizontal plies. Bubinga is prized in drum building for its powerful low-end response, strong projection, crisp articulation and rich fundamental tone. The stave construction further emphasizes the natural resonance of the wood by substantially reducing the amount of glue required compared with a traditional multi-ply shell.

This 10 lug example is outfitted with heavy die-cast hoops and a "Free Floating" cast aluminum lug-support/ring system that is very similar to a Pearl Free Floater.

The original GLP Woodworks badge remains intact and even carries the company's period MySpace address, a great little time capsule that fits perfectly with the drum's 2007 manufacture.

Excellent used condition. There are some light scuffs on the shell and some minor wear and oxidation on the chrome hardware and hoops. Everything works perfectly. No issues. A great boutique adaptation of a stave shell into a free floating assembly.

This drum comes directly from the Mark Schulman Collection and was personally owned and played by Mark. Comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by Mark and Donn!
