An all-original, exceptionally clean 2001 Gibson ES-135 in the highly coveted, premium Blonde (Natural) finish. Extremely rare finish. There is some light checking on the finish in some places
Please note: This is NOT the common 1990s version of the ES-135. If you are comparing this to other listings pulling lower prices, those are likely the early models that featured noisy P-100 stacked soapbar pickups and a balsa-wood (chromyte) center block. (I had one of those, it sounded terrible and it was very heavy)
This is a premium, late-era 2001 production model built to top-tier specifications:Factory '57 Classic Humbuckers: 100% stock and original from the “Memphis” Gibson factory. It was built in the same factory as the Gibson Custom shop guitars.
The pick ups offer the ultimate warm, creamy, vintage PAF tone with zero hum.
True Mahogany Center Block: Natively built with a solid mahogany block for incredible sustain and feedback resistance that easily rivals a premium ES-335.
“Made in Memphis" Lineage: Features the highly desirable "Made in Memphis" stamp clearly visible on the back of the neck right where it meets the headstock, proving its premium semi-hollow assembly origin.
Premium Blonde Finish: Gibson reserved their cleanest, highest-grade maple cuts for the Natural finish because the wood grain is completely visible.
The figuring on this guitar looks stunning in person.
The guitar plays beautifully, handles low action effortlessly, and the frets have no wear.
Everything on the instrument is completely stock and original.
It does not include the original Gibson case, but it comes housed in a premium, ultra-sturdy, road-ready Gator hardshell case that fits the guitar like a glove and provides superior protection than a Gibson Case.
