Fender American Standard Telecaster – 2011 – Black / Maple – New Old Stock - 60' Years Anniversary Model

A truly exceptional example of a 2011 Fender American Standard Telecaster, finished in classic Black with a Maple neck and fingerboard.

This guitar is offered in New Old Stock (NOS), unused condition. It has been preserved rather than played and remains in outstanding condition, complete with its original Fender/SKB molded hard case, original hang tags, paperwork, factory pickguard sticker and Fender polishing cloth.

The guitar still presents remarkably close to the way it would have when originally supplied in 2011 — an increasingly difficult condition to find for an American Standard Telecaster of this age.

Condition

The guitar is in exceptional New Old Stock / unused condition.

It has not been used as a player's instrument and has been carefully preserved. The original Fender American Standard sticker is still attached to the pickguard, and the original hang tags and documentation have also been retained. The maple fingerboard, frets, body, hardware and electronics all present exceptionally well, consistent with an instrument that has remained unused. Please study the photographs carefully, as they form part of the description and show the actual guitar being offered. Due to the age of the instrument, we describe it specifically as New Old Stock (NOS) / Unused, rather than as a newly manufactured guitar.

60 Years of the Telecaster – 1951–2011

A particularly nice period detail is the original commemorative neck plate engraved:

“TELECASTER – 60 YEARS – 1951–2011”

2011 marked the 60th anniversary of the Telecaster, and Fender used this commemorative neck plate on Telecasters produced during the anniversary year.

Please note that this guitar is the American Standard Telecaster, 60th Anniversary Telecaster model. The commemorative neck plate is an original factory feature appropriate to its 2011 production year.

The American Standard series represents an important era of Fender's USA production and has since been discontinued. While used American Standard Telecasters are readily found, finding a 2011 example that has remained unused, with its original factory sticker, hang tags, paperwork and original molded case still together with the instrument, is considerably more unusual.
