R. Dotschkail*** branded over the frog. It is a beautiful example of a German handmade bow. Reinhold Dotschkail (1923-1996) studied bow making in Graslitz, Germany. During WWII he was driven into exile and in 1951 opened his own workshop in Eltersdorf, Germany.
This bow is beautiful and well made. Mammoth tip. Octagonal pernambuco shaft. Ebony frog with abalone inlay. Shows signs of normal use, but no cracks, repairs, or issues of any kind.
This bow was professionally re-haired and is ready to play.
