The iconic full-size Caprid returns—first as this special Blue-Violet edition, a faithful reproduction of the rare mid-’70s “violet-era” Ram’s Head Big Muff. Hand-selected components: 3 orange-dot + 1 violet-dot transistors, 1/2-watt carbon comp resistors, and premium caps for that classic saturated, even tone. Crank the gain for milky, violin-like sustain, earthy lows, rich highs, and the perfect mid-scoop—warm and musical, yet more aggressive and edged-up than the original Caprid OG. Born from endless demand after its 2012–2017 run (and never cheapened by overseas production), it’s built tough in the same small LA metal shop and assembled in North LA. The blue-violet graphics pop beautifully against the stainless enclosure, honoring those one-color mid-’70s variants.If the White Elk is our wildest Muff, this is the refined opposite: endless, singing sustain that begs to be played for hours.
