Up for sale is an incredibly rare, upper-tier masterpiece from the legendary Kani, Gifu workshop in Japan: a 1987 Kazuo Yairi YC160-10 handmade concert classical guitar.

During the late 1980s, the "160" designation represented a highly premium price tier, ensuring that only the finest, master-grade tonewoods available were reserved for its construction. This particular instrument features a set of Solid Jacaranda (Brazilian Rosewood) for the back and sides.

This 40-year-old instrument has been meticulously cared for and is in beautiful aesthetic and structural shape:

The guitar produces an incredibly rich, deep, and resonant concert voice with exceptional note separation and sustain that only aged premium wood can deliver.

This 45 years old guitar is clean without major issues

It is making a lovely and deeply balanced sound with a good action 3mm and 3.5mm@12F, frets are dressed, crowned and polished and are still plenty for you to play

{The guitar has play wears and imperfections as below} 

• The back of neck has been lightly sanded down and playing very nice and smoothly
• Two strap pins are fitted by the last owner
• Body top has some fine minor, light surface play wear and faint checking characteristic of vintage lacquer-see video
• Body back has some surface cracks-see video
• A small screw holes at the heel cap is filled and coated with lacquer
• Even though there are few light scratches within the finish on its top, side and back overall condition of this guitar is nothing but very good for its age.
