A fantastic and long discontinued unique EFX Zildjian AZUKA 18”.  You don’t see many of these around these days and certainly not where you can hear them first.

This 18” plays, sounds and looks closer to the K CUSTOM line. It has a lower profile and the K Custom Medium Hammering and craftsmanship.

Zildjian described this unique 18” as:
“Extremely clear bell response. Dry ride response for good stick articulation. Opens up fast for dynamic crashes with excellent projection.”

Weighing in at a lovely 1742 grams this Zildjian AZUKA plays like a Medium Crash or Dry Low Crash Ride. The tone is DARK, surprisingly LOW PITCHED and mellow. The bell is SOLID and obviously perfect for "the latin thin" and even funk and fusion etc. When you ride on this Azuka you get a low pitched chime-like attack followed by a fairly focused wash. The decay is medium fast.

When you CRASH this 18", you get a STRONG Medium DARK Crash that projects exceptionally well--commpliments of the medium weight. The wash decay is medium fast and still fairly focused.

A fantastic all-around Multi Application Cymbal that excels in percussion set ups, but is certainly not limited to that.  It can occupy a lot of positions on the drum set.  Makes a killer smaller, controlled Dry Ride.

And it’s not so easy to find these days. No issues. Deep patina dries it out beautifully.
