The BOSS RC-500 takes looping well beyond simple record-and-playback, giving guitarists, singer-songwriters, and multi-instrumentalists a powerful two-track setup for building complete performances in real time. Its stereo looper engine offers up to 13 hours of total recording time, while 32-bit AD/DA conversion and 32-bit floating-point processing keep every layer clear and detailed, even as you stack multiple overdubs. With onboard mixing, an easy-to-read RGB backlit LCD, independent track controls, and 99 phrase memories, the RC-500 feels equally at home onstage, in the studio, or during a creative practice session.

The flexible connectivity makes it easy to build the RC-500 into almost any rig. Stereo instrument inputs accommodate guitars and pedalboards, while the dedicated XLR microphone input includes switchable 48V phantom power for compatible condenser mics. Two independent loop tracks can be used for song-style arrangements or layered textures, and you can add movement with Reverse and Loop FX including Beat Repeat, Beat Shift, Beat Scatter, and Vinyl Flick. When you want to take things further, external footswitches, an expression pedal, and MIDI control provide plenty of options for hands-free operation and integration with other gear.

Rhythms turn the RC-500 into even more of a complete performance tool, with 57 preset patterns featuring A/B variations and 16 drum kits covering a wide range of musical styles. You can save your loops along with rhythm selections, audio settings, and custom control assignments, then back up or load WAV files through USB. Running on four AA batteries or an optional AC adapter, the RC-500 delivers the depth and flexibility serious loopers need without sacrificing hands-on control.
