Because of its thin mahogany construction, the 2012 SG Standard delivers incredible natural resonance and snappy note definition. Compared to a heavier Les Paul, the SG's neck pickup sits slightly closer to the bridge, giving it a signature treble "bite" that cuts effortlessly through a live band mix.
