Using the 3-way switch, both pickups can be controlled individually or simultaneously, while the real highlight of the Marty Schwartz ES-335 is the push/pull function of both volume and tone controls: Both volume controls can be used for coil splitting of the respective humbucker at the push of a button, while both tone controls can be used for phase reversal of the respective pickups to give the sound a spicy flavor. Grover 502C Roto-Grip Locking Rotomatics are available as tuning machines to guarantee secure tuning that remains reliably stable even with spontaneous temperature changes.
