Eastman SB59-RB in Red Burst with Fralin P92 Stock in the bridge and a Fralin Twangmaster Stock in the neck. Includes a hardcase.
An Eastman SB59 finished in Red Burst – Eastman’s take on the classic late-’50s single-cut formula, with a solid flamed maple top, one-piece mahogany body, one-piece mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard. The 12" radius, 24.75" scale length and medium Jescar fretwire give it a familiar feel under the fingers, while the set-neck construction and solid body provide plenty of sustain and resonance.
This example has been upgraded with a set of Lindy Fralin pickups: a Fralin P-92 Stock in the bridge and a Fralin Twangmaster Stock in the neck. The P-92 gives you a fat, P-90-style voice in a humbucker-sized housing – punchy mids and growl, but with good clarity and note separation. The Twangmaster in the neck balances that nicely, offering a clearer, more “single-coil-meets-humbucker” response, with tight low end and open highs. Together they make this SB59 a very versatile guitar, covering everything from clean, chiming parts through to driven rock tones with ease.
The hardware and electrics are all high quality, with a Gotoh tune-o-matic bridge and stop tail, Gotoh tuners, and pro-grade pots, switch and jack, plus ivoroid binding to the body and neck to complete the classic look.
Condition:
This guitar is in good condition. There are a few noticeable dings and marks on the finish in certain areas, but nothing structural or that affects playability or function (see photos for close-ups). Frets are in very good shape, with plenty of life left. The neck is stable, and all electronics and hardware function exactly as they should.
It has been checked over and set up in a guitar workshop recently, so it’s playing cleanly across the board and is ready to go.
A great option if you’re after a high-spec, LP-style single cut with quality woods and hardware, upgraded with a very usable set of Fralin pickups that push it well beyond stock spec.
Photos are from where it was purchased, selling only as it isnt getting used which seems a waste for such a lovely guitar.
