Tower Strings The Entertainer - 16.5" Viola - Amber brown

A large-size 16.5" viola from Tower Strings' "The Entertainer" line — solid hand-carved spruce top and maple back/sides, ebony fingerboard, pegs and fittings, and a carbon composite tailpiece with built-in fine tuners for easy, stable tuning. The amber brown finish shows off the maple's flame nicely, especially across the two-piece back. 16.5" is the largest body size Tower Strings makes for this model. It isn't easy to find used — worth calling out for taller players or anyone specifically hunting for a bigger, more resonant viola body.

Harvard House Music, a Fresno instrument shop that's been repairing and selling stringed instruments since 1983, purchased it. We got this from a previous owner, checked it over, and set it up in our shop — bridge and soundpost adjusted for proper fit and tone — with no dings, cracks, or finish issues. Ready to play right out of the case.
