For sale is my Thermionic Culture The Phoenix Master Compressor, serial MP047, made in England.

This is the early Master Compressor/mastering version of the Phoenix, not the standard Phoenix and not the later Phoenix Mastering Plus.

The Phoenix Master Compressor is an all-valve stereo compressor designed by Vic Keary, developed from the original Phoenix specifically for high-end mix-bus and mastering applications. This version provides repeatable control settings, independent side-chain bass-cut controls and output trims while retaining the valve signal path and musical compression for which the Phoenix is known.

It can be used linked for stereo bus/mastering work or as two independent channels.

This unit has lived in my recording studio and was used as professional studio equipment rather than road/touring gear.

It is fully functional and operates as it should.

There is normal cosmetic rack/use wear to the front panel, particularly around the rack-mounting points. I’ve photographed the unit carefully, including the interior, so the buyer can see its actual cosmetic and internal condition.

This is a substantial piece of classic Thermionic Culture analog hardware and an outstanding stereo bus/mastering compressor.
