For sale is my Jim Root Jazzmaster in black.

Includes the limited edition black/grey tweed hard case, and most case candy (which has been opened), with the exception of the cleaning cloth and cable.

The guitar was originally purchased in early 2024, but developed a truss rod issue which resulted in the neck being replaced under Fenders warranty in early 2025. This means that the serial on the headstock will not match the serial on the original quality control sheet or certificate of authenticity. If you use the fender serial lookup with the number present on the certificate of authenticity or QC sheet it will resolve correctly.

The guitar is currently set up with D'Addario 10-46 in E standard, has been upgraded with a Graphtech TUSQ nut in black for ultimate tuning stability, and had the original plastic fender knob swapped out for a more premium feeling black metal dome knob. The guitar has also had a recent professional fret dress which feels great.

The guitar is in decent condition overall, has been gigged a few times, played at rehearsals but mostly sat in case otherwise.

If you are interested in the Jim root models you probably know the finish is designed to wear easily, and as such it has superficial surface scratches in the picking area, as well as a few other surface scratches and some light "polishing"/smudges on the front and back that happens on matte finishes like this. Additionally, where the nut has been replaced the finish in that area had to be scored through. Have done my best to photograph all cosmetic issues extensively and this is still one of the better more matte used examples I've seen, generally only more visible when you get up close.

Selling as since buying this I picked up another guitar with the same pickups and ended up playing it a lot more so doesn't get used enough now.
