How's it going! You're looking at a Vintage 1968 Fender Pro Reverb-Amp Silverface 2x12 Tube Combo Guitar Amplifier!

Made in 1968 in Fullerton, California, this remarkable 1968 Fender Pro Reverb-Amp 2x12 tube combo amplifier delivers 40 watts of pristine American clean headroom alongside Fender's legendary tube-driven spring reverb and tremolo system. This early "Silverface" transitional masterpiece showcases the rare early-style "Pro Reverb - Amp" faceplate layout before Fender dropped the "- Amp" text in the 1970s. The pristine cabinet interior retains its authentic 1966–1969 Santa Ana, California distribution tube chart, while the chassis features a 1967-stamped sequence (A 09846). This amplifier is equipped with its original factory-matched pair of June 1968 Oxford 12T6 heavy-duty ceramic speakers (EIA code 465-823) with immaculate factory blue-and-silver labels.

This amplifier has been thoughtfully updated with a player-focused modification, featuring a custom Master Volume control knob cleanly installed on the rear chassis panel. This is an incredibly useful addition for modern players, allowing you to dial in that legendary, rich 1960s tube saturation and natural edge-of-breakup overdrive at whisper-quiet residential or studio volume levels without requiring an external attenuator. Crucially for player safety, the original 2-prong cable has also been upgraded to a modern grounded 3-prong safety power cord, eliminating shock hazards and ensuring stable performance on today’s stages. Additionally, the consumable tubes have been updated with a premium set of matched Ruby/JJ 6L6GC power tubes and a 5U4GB rectifier, making this legendary piece of Fender history entirely gig-ready and structurally sound.

Cosmetically, this amp tells a story in itself, showing plenty of authentic vintage character with scratches and weathering in the Tolex finish that give it a highly desirable, naturally worn aesthetic. Please note that the two metal tilt-back legs on either side of the cabinet are currently missing. Functionally, this amp has been fully tested and sounds spectacular, with a smooth-turning master volume pot, lush reverb, and deep, rhythmic tremolo. It is ready for the stage, studio, or a prized spot in any player's collection. Don't miss out on the opportunity to own this highly versatile, player-grade vintage 1968 Fender Pro Reverb combo amp!!!
