The FTelettronica Overacter is a 100% analog monophonic synth pedal that, rather than simply adding an octave to your signal, builds its sound from multiple analog synth voices, including the original pitch converted to a square wave, one octave up, one octave down, and two octaves down. There are no presets, menus, or digital latency—just hands-on controls for shaping the sound.

The Base, Sub, Down 1, and Up 1 controls let you build anything from deep, growling bass synth sounds to buzzy octave-up textures and chaotic, glitchy tones. A low-pass Filter lets you take some of the edge off the square-wave character when you want something warmer and smoother. At more extreme settings, the Overacter can get into fuzzy, robotic, chiptune, and retro-arcade territory.

Because it's monophonic, the Overacter is particularly interesting for bass lines, synth leads, and experimental passages where a conventional octave pedal or pitch shifter isn't going to give the same character. It's a very different kind of synth pedal, with the rough edges and unpredictable behavior that make analog synth effects so much fun.
