1962 Guild Starfire III - All Original, DeArmond Pickups, w/OHSC!

This 1962 Guild Starfire III hollowbody is all-original, and it's spectacular! A killer instrument with 1960s vibe for days, made in the Guild factory when they were here in Hoboken (just a few blocks from our shop) The DeArmond pickups offer up a wide range of sound: from jangle and bite, to smooth, warm tones. Twang courtesy of factory-installed Bigsby. Super-resonant hollow construction. At this age, most guitars like this one need a neck reset, but this one has remained totally straight and true. Comfortable neck with 1 5/8" nut width, low action and lots of fret life left, plus plenty of room left on the bridge to adjust height to taste. Weighs in at an incredibly lightweight 6 lbs.

At 64 years old, this may be the cleanest Starfire we've seen. Some very minor surface-level nicks along the body edges, and s few small marks on the back, along with some hand wear by the nut (see photos). Ships with original case, which has all hinges and latches function, but shows some wear.
