This is an incredibly deep and powerful drum in nearly-new condition which which features the traditional Gretsch sound. Your band will know it's there! These RN-1s were made in Taiwan at the period when really great Gretsch stuff was coming out of there. The shells are the true Gretsch 30 degree bearing edge. For this series Gretsch used their up-graded bass drum claws with rubber cushioning inserts. Ten lugs per side. The drum is close to spotless; there are a couple of small scratches near the bottom of the drum, which would not show up with my poor camera. I had an automotive shop friend of mine re-spray the hoops with tough automotive paint (a pint of it cost me $50!) They look brand new. There is the original Gretsch factory logo front head on the drum, and a brand-new Aquarian SuperKick II batter head, IMHO, the best bass drum head out there. There is also a brand-new Ahead fleece-lined zipper bag, with their signature full-length zipper that makes loading the drum so much easier. This bag cost $177.00 from Sweetwater. It features innovative zippers plus two hand-holds on the sides of the case. Makes it super easy to pick up your drum.
