I've upgraded to a Tonex Board. I've been a Tonex user since before the pedals came out; using just the software on my PC. IK Multimedia isn't just as good or better than any other capture tech out there, they're a solid company that supports their users, this ecosystem and is doing all the right things to be around for a long time.
I am including a MIDI controller that plugs into the USB port of the Tonex, accepts 9V pedalboard power and gives you touch screen access to the features of the unit. It's got a couple of physical buttons for PREV/NEXT preset, but these are not to be stepped on; desktop use only. You are free to relocate the controller to a better chassis with real footswitches, if you want to use it on stage.
