For sale is my RekOKut M5 16 inch record lathe. It is in fantastic shape for something that was built in the late early mid 1940's. It comes with a fantastic Presto 1D cutter head.

I have had the lathe tuned up, the motor oiled and greased. The lathe runs like a champ.

The ROK sits on a custom wood plinth.

This also has connections for heated stylus if you would like to cut lacquers. (See the ‘underneath’ photo with yellow wires.)

Why am I selling this lathe? I purchased some new cutting equipment and I'd like to offset some of the cost.

Included are three feedscrews and some nice extras to get you started. Blanks, fluid, stylus, etc.

I've successfully embossed (cut) a bunch of records on this lathe and I don't really want to part with it but I'm hoping this will assist someone with getting into the record cutting world.

Local Pickup preferred as I can show you how this works and avoid the damage and loss issues associated with vintage equipment delivery.
