Here‘a a real unique piece from Innertube Audio. I got this personally from Stayne. Don’t believe these were ever released as a product. It’s not branded but I have sold quite a bit of his kit in my shop over the years. I acquired a lot in the Santa Barbara area.
Basically it allows you to dial in the level/image of your mid/side mics before they hit the preamps. Ideally suited for tube mics since I don’t beleive this passes phanton for condensers. It utilizes Hammond MRI 3002 transformers.
Signal path is :
mics - mid/side input - into this box - left/right out - into preamps.
You can adjust the level to your liking without any tone or loading issues. I have not used this much but it’s in perfect working order and a really clean build.
