Vintage Yamaha 800 Series Double Tom Stand — Purple Label, Made in Japan, 1990s
Classic Yamaha System Drums hardware from the era when it was still built in Japan — the stuff backline companies and rental houses standardized on because it refuses to die. Heavy die-cast fittings, double-braced tripod, and Yamaha's original ball-clamp tom mounts.
Includes both tom arms. The ball clamps use a hard resin ball in a serrated die-cast housing, giving full 360-degree positioning that holds under load. Long hex rods (the pre-YESS style), 7/8" (22.2mm) down tubes.
Specs
- Height range: 24" collapsed to 40" fully extended (measured to the mounting arm)
- Two-hole cast receiver base — the earlier design, before Yamaha moved to the three-hole receiver
- Two ball-clamp tom arms with long hex rods, non-YESS
- 7/8" / 22.2mm tubes — compatible with Yamaha 700/800/900 series hardware
- Double-braced legs, memory lock on the tom post
- Purple label band, "Made in Japan"
- Model number is not marked on the stand — Yamaha did not stamp these
Condition: Excellent. Chrome is bright throughout with only very slight pitting. All wing bolts thread cleanly and hold position. No bends, no stripped threads, nothing missing.
Fits: Yamaha toms with the traditional rod-through-the-shell mount — Recording Custom, Tour Custom, Power V, early Stage Custom, and most Yamaha concert toms. Also works well for mounting an auxiliary snare.
Note for YESS owners: this is the older two-hole receiver with long-rod arms, not the short-rod YESS setup. Close-up photos of the receiver and clamps are included so you can confirm fit before buying.
