Fender J Mascis Signature Jazzmaster — Purple Sparkle, 2008, Mint Condition

2008 Fender J. Mascis Signature Jazzmaster with the signature Purple Sparkle finish, which is the color that put this guitar on the map when Fender launched it in 2007. This was the first Jazzmaster ever offered with a color-matched headstock. I’ve used this guitar on multiple albums, mainly for layering - it’s got a very unusual tone which is great for separation from other more traditional sounding guitar parts. 

Completely original except for the pearloid pickguard and Sperzel locking tuners. All electronics and hardware work perfectly. I don't have the original pickguard or tuners, so please don't message me about them. I'd like to sell to a player, not a collector.

3-way pickup selector for normal switching between pickups, and an extra switch that gives you a completely different and warmer sounding circuit for the neck pickup, with it’s own independent volume and tone controls. The pair of soapbar-style single-coils have real output and character - bigger and punchier than a vintage-spec Jazzmaster pickup.

This is a genuinely fun, great-sounding, and great-looking guitar!
