These cool units offer Eight Mic inputs with API like character, plus 8 line inputs as well as two channel stereo summing.

On these preamps we do a Nice input stage modification using de-coupling and coupling techniques as well as High performance Burr Brown opamps on the input, send and return stages (buffer stages) as well as output master section and the results are nothing short of excellent.

Interstage coupling modifications are performed as well as output stage mods for optimum performance. Noise reduction is performed through the entire circuit. All audio caps are replaced with Audio grade capacitors with value adjustments as are local supply sections.

Finally the power supply is also modified for the lowest possible noise and higher current delivery to accommodate the the new modifications.

The result is a Very musical sounding preamp with great headroom (8db more headroom), detail and low end extension and much lower noise.

With the mods they sound considerably more open and a lot warmer as well making them great for just about anything from summing to tracking.
