The Musitronics Mu-Tron Micro V is a vintage, advanced envelope-controlled filter pedal released in the mid-1970s by Musitronics. It was designed by Mike Biegel as a more compact, simplified, and budget-friendly alternative to the company's famous flagship auto-wah, the Mu-Tron III.

Because original vintage units are rare and highly sought after by collectors and musicians chasing classic funk and Grateful Dead/Jerry Garcia vibes, used units typically sell for a premium.

The Micro V was built using a streamlined solid-state circuit design engineered to use up a surplus of CA3080 OTA chips left over from previous manufacturing runs. It offers an iconic touch-controlled, musical auto-wah effect using only two primary controls:

• Hi/Lo Frequency Switch: A toggle switch that allows the player to select the frequency range of the filter.
• Filter Range / Sensitivity Knob: A continuously variable control used to dial in how dynamically the filter responds to picking intensity.
