Rides in the Storm QSQ is a powerful 26 HP Eurorack sequencer, CV generator, and MIDI-to-CV interface with eight independent CV/gate tracks. It is an excellent compact command center for melodic sequencing, drum triggering, modulation, and integrating MIDI hardware or a DAW with a modular system.

Each of the eight tracks has its own CV and gate output and can be configured for pitch/CV sequencing, gate and rhythm duties, MIDI-to-CV conversion, envelopes, LFOs, Euclidean patterns, randomization, and other modulation tasks. It supports up to 64 steps per track, with per-track clock division, direction, swing, gate length, probability, quantization, scales, glide, and retrigger options.

The QSQ includes 8 CV outputs and 8 gate outputs, clock and transport I/O, a CV input, TRS MIDI input/output, and USB MIDI host connectivity. Its hands-on layout combines 17 push encoders with a color display, making it flexible enough for deep sequencing while remaining practical for live performance.

** NOTE: A small heat-dependent rainbow pressure mark (known as “Newton rings”) can be visible on the screen under certain viewing conditions after the module warms up. (SEE PIC)This is due to the thin layers of the screen pressing against each other, causing a rainbow ring appearance on the screen. I spoke with the manufacturer, and this is common based on the housing used for this particular screen. It does not affect the readability of the screen when powered on and does cause any issues with the screen's performance or lifespan.
