I bought the EP 40 a few months ago, and it's actually an awesome little device. It's a huge improvement over the old ko2. The EP 40 ads 128 MB of sample space, built-in synthesizers, the ability to play looped samples, the ability to use looped instrument samples, the ability to use multisamples, so drum kits and melodic samples with more than one sample for better coverage up and down the keyboard. So you'll notice this ep40 looks pretty different than most, I wasn't a huge fan of the initial look being so tied to just one genre, so I 3D printed out some custom pieces and added a film over the screen just to make it more of a blank slate, rather than something associated with just one style of music. In my opinion, it looks way better, but that's subjective, and if you want me to return it to it's factory style that is not a problem, it would take about 5 minutes to change everything out, it's a simple as replacing the key caps and peeling off the film that darkens the screen. And of course if you choose to keep the customization I added, all the original riddim pieces are still included and super easy to swap back and forth. I can either factory reset the device so it has all the original samples and projects on there, or give it to you in a completely blank state. It's up to you.
