Fender Mex Strat
This guitar is in awesome condition except for a small paint chip where the neck meets the body as you can see in the pic.
Guitar is set up, plays well, and is ready to go.
Key Specifications
- Body Wood: Poplar was common in the early 2000s, while Alder became more frequent later in the decade.
- Neck: Maple with a comfortable "C" shape profile and a 21-fret maple or rosewood fingerboard.
- Hardware: Vintage-style 6-point synchronized tremolo bridge and sealed tuning keys.
- Serial Numbers: Serial numbers from this decade start with the MZ prefix, where "M" stands for Mexico and "Z" stands for the 2000s.
Pickups and Tone
- Ceramic Pickups: These guitars come with three stock ceramic single-coil pickups.
- Sound Profile: As discussed by a user on TDPRI, the stock ceramic pickups offer a hotter, fuller, and warmer output than traditional vintage Fender single coils, making them great for modern cleans and blues distortion.
