This is an MIJ Frankenstrat but you’d never know unless you’re super into MIJ Fender. It is an E Serial 1984 body with original System One Tremolo and pickguard. The neck is very attractive L Serial 1991-92 neck. They pair together super nicely, and I have no idea what happened to the original neck with locking nut. I bought it like this in 2016 and have played many gigs with it. Setup with super low action, no fret wear since last setup, I barely play it anymore. ~7lbs 12oz
In 2019 I had Lay’s Guitar Shop in Akron install the roller nut and repair the bridge posts, so it is super sturdy and stays in tune. I put in the fender locking button tuners and they have been a great upgrade. I also installed Fender Vintage Noiseless pickups, I never had the original pickups unfortunately. The extra toggle switch adds the bridge pickup to whatever 5-way position you’re in. Lets you do bridge and neck, or all 3.
One paint chip on the bottom, belt buckled scratching, some cracking on the front, normal wear for an instrument this age that has been played as much as this has.
Please let me know if you have any questions, thanks for looking!
