1960 Fender Harvard 5F10. When a piece of gear has patina like this it means one thing, it must be a good one ‘cause it was played! Serial number shows this as an early 1960 Harvard, Original Power and Output transformers dating to 1960, speaker dates to late 1958 and was reconed by Jensen expert Gordon Speakerman out of Seattle. Amp was serviced in 2018, filters and a few out if spec resistors changed. Westinghouse 6v6 power tubes tubes. Sounds wonderful, these Harvards are famous for being used by Steve Cropper on his Booker T and the MG’s recordings so grab a Tele, put the volume on 5 or 6 and channel Steve Cropper, you’ll get the tone you hear on those famous Booker T records. This one is a rarity since Fender was transitioning from using Triad transformers on to Schumacher in 1960, this one has an output transformer with an EIA code of 515 meaning it was was manufactured by Electronics Components Corporation Supreme Transformer Division from Addison IL. I found this info regarding the Output Transformer…

Component Details: Factory-Original Output Transformer

  • Manufacturer: Electronic Components Corporation (Addison, IL) — Supreme Transformer Division.
  • EIA Manufacturer Code: 515 (Stamps verify Electronic Components Corp. as the custom midwestern supplier contracted by Leo Fender during this specific late-Tweed transition pocket).
  • Fender Proprietary Part/Blueprint Number: 13A862 (This unlisted part number represents Fender’s proprietary factory drawing requirement tailored specifically to handle the dual-6V6 push-pull output stage of the 5F10 Harvard circuit).
  • Date Code Stamp: 7009
    • 7 represents the internal factory production line.
    • 009 translates strictly to the 9th week of 1960 (late February / early March 1960)
  • This Harvard is priced way more reasonable than most Harvards currently, and will be pro packed for safe shipping. Listed locally and on Facebook Marketplace also. Glad to answer any questions, or you can come hear it in person in Middletown NJ.
