Bacchus DX5 Woodline Natural

Just arrived from Japan. This was a demo for the sales rep there but is in excellent shape. The Woodline DX model is a top of the line Bacchus model. Handmade, no CNC, cherry picked seasoned woodswith contours hand sanded and oil rubbed finish on 2 pc. Ash body. Satin fnished Maple neck and board with pearloid blocks and binding. Beautiful neck and fretwork, plays like a dream. 34" scale, 46mm width at nut and 18mm spacing at the bridge. I find this neck shape like the Fender Deluxes but with a bit more fullness.

These have their proprietary single coil pickups, I find them hot and aggressive and on the bright side (this from a guy who does not use tweeters). Passive pre with series - parallel push/pull switch on the Tone knob. The neck pickup control becomes a Master Volume and the bridge pickup control becomes a balance control. Pretty cool. There are a handful of demo dinks, the worst are pictured. For the most part these are camoflaged with the oil finish and really must be searched for. The neck is perfect with only the lightest fret wear. This bass weighs in at slightly under 8.5lbs. Ships with a new Bacchus gigbag. $1150 OBO shipped within the lower 48. PayPal ok.
