The Ampeg B-15N Portaflex is considered the most recorded bass amplifier in history. The B-15NF is the specific 1965-67 variant featuring 30 watts output, fixed-bias 6L6GC power tubes, and a printed circuit board.

The chassis marking:

The chassis is marked B-15N, which is consistent with Ampeg's production practice of the era — Ampeg did not always update chassis markings to reflect model revisions. The original Ampeg schematic included with the amp identifies it as a B-15NF, consistent with the blue check tolex covering, the fixed-bias circuit, and all internal component date codes.
