Item has small surface scratch on back, photographed. I'm not the original owner and any and all imperfections were made prior to me owning it. I've kept it in case and am mindful of humidity. Fretboard appears to have been painted black, then someone used pink fret markers so the player can more easily see the markers while playing. Does not affect playability at all. This has a very deep tone that you crave in a baritone uke. More volume in the body than majority of baritones I'd say, and the sound reflects it graciously. Neck appears to be in perfect condition by my examination. Tuners function without quirks. Fretboard does not have any fickle areas at all. Bridge is sound, cannot fit standard printer paper under at all while strung and in tune. Nut and saddle are both in perfect condition. Instrument is ready to be played and in strong, sturdy condition. I'd anticipate decades of lifetime remaining. Choosing this over a brand new kala Mahogony where many people go, you'll notice a far more opened up sound that you can't replicate with a brand new instrument, mahogany having this effect as it ages more than most tone woods do. Would be very hard to part with this, but would be open to trade offers as well! Below are the imperfections listed with instrument.
1.)Very minor surface scratch on back of instrument, does not affect playability at all, and is not a point of weakness or anything that could possibly affect the sound of the instrument.
2. A total of 4 surface dings around the instrument. Not even dents, just little marks that may even be able to be buffed out. As I closely examine the instrument now, I'd really say this is near mint for how old these are. I believe it was built in 1950s - 1960s and I've not seen one in this good condition
