Description:

These drivers may have came off of Dynawave speakers, that were taken apart.

I'm listing these drivers as used, tested, in working condition.

These drivers are open front, no grills, so the diaphragms are exposed.

The connection terminals look clean.

10 drivers has the felt fabric on the back, and 2 drivers have the felt fabric removed from the back, see photos.

The reason for the fabric on the back of the drivers is to add acoustical resistance to the diaphragm, so the driver can produce bass with an open baffle.

With the fabric removed, it will speed up the diaphragm movement, for tuning the driver in the mid-bass range in an open baffle.

If you're planning to use the drivers in a sealed enclosure, you will need to remove the fabric on all the drivers, to let the diaphragm breath into the encounter.

These drivers may have been used for doing prototype speaker system at the speaker company they came from, so they're listed as used to be safe with the ratings.

I did sound test them with music at 5 watts, and sound clear and sounds like they are working good.

The Sawafuji drivers were made in Japan, in the 1980's, and were commonly used in their speaker company called Dynawave.

Dynawave used to make di-pole plainar speakers, using multiple of these drivers.

I have seen the big Melos speakers long time ago, made back in the 1980's to early 1990's also use these same drivers in their speaker systems they made,, called Pipedreams.

Last photo is an example of a custom made pair of Melos Pipedream speakers, that I used to own, which were a smaller model of the original Pipedream speaker system, using these same DP-12's with panasonic ribbon tweeters, and they sounded wonderful on my 300B tube amplifiers.

I no longer have those speakers, but I highly recommend building a pair of them, you will be very impressed on how great they will sound.

These a very fast, very dynamic, very clear, natural, and no cone colonization to the sound, because the diaphragm not a cone.

I highly recommend building a pair of line array speaker cabinets similar to the ones in the last photos,

You will be very impressed on how great they sound with ribbon tweeters.

I am selling off my whole inventory on all my Sawafuji drivers, due to moving later this year.
