This beautiful half stack consists of a 2002 Marshall JCM800 2203X 100W head paired with a Marshall 1960A 4x12 loaded with four genuine Celestion Greenbacks. The head is from 2002 (the first year of JCM800 2203 reissues) and has the classic 2203 tone with aggressive mids, punchy lows, and plenty of bite, along with the added convenience of an FX loop. The Greenbacks complement the head extremely well, adding a warmer, smoother midrange and natural speaker breakup that balances out the JCM800’s aggressive character. The amp was recently serviced and fitted with brand new EL34 power tubes. Both the head and cab are in great working order and look fantastic for their age. The head also includes a Legendary Tones Hot Mod V2 in the preamp section for additional gain and saturation, which is easily removable and can be replaced with a standard preamp tube if you prefer the stock sound.
