Focusrite Clarett 8PreX professional Thunderbolt audio interface in excellent working condition.

This was the flagship model of Focusrite's original Clarett Thunderbolt range and is an outstanding studio interface, with 8 Clarett mic preamps, extremely low latency, excellent converters, extensive analog and digital I/O, and Focusrite's switchable Air mode.

The 8PreX provides 26 inputs and 28 outputs, including 8 analog mic/line inputs, dual ADAT I/O for up to 16 additional digital channels, S/PDIF, 10 balanced analog outputs, dual headphone outputs, MIDI and word clock.

Specifications include 118 dB A-weighted dynamic range on the microphone inputs, -128 dBu EIN, up to 192 kHz/24-bit operation, and 57 dB of microphone gain.

I purchased this unit new from Sweetwater in 2018 and have used it only as part of my smoke-free home recording setup -- never for live/touring.

I use mine together with the Clarett OctoPre 8 (easy connection) to provide another 8 simultaneous live inputs while recording drums. I am also selling the Clarett OctoPre 8 -- if you buy them both, I'll do free shipping.
