This is one of the holy grail amplifiers for studio professionals and touring musicians - the iconic 1965 Blackface with original genuine Oxford 12K 5-6 speaker. The transformer stamps show that this amp was made in the 48th week of 1965 in Fullerton, California. The prior owner had this thoroughly professionally inspected and fully tested by a local amp guru resulting in a few minor replaced parts, namely a couple leaky caps and adding a 3 prong plug for safety. The original reverb tank recently gave up the ghost - it may be fixable and will be included- and I had a new one popped in by Peter at CAE Sound, who has worked on amps for everyone from the Dead to Carlos Santana. It has an indescribable monster tone. I usually run my vintage amps with a Brown Box regulating power down to about 113-115 and that really sweetens up the tone for this one. Pushed with a Klon or Zendrive and it sounds just fantastic. The Vibe and Verb both work perfectly and give the Bo Diddley/Johnny Marr throb. Includes the original vintage verb and vibe pedal switch and a new one in case you have a heavy foot and want to keep the original safe. Will ship in the included Anvil case that came with the amp. This one will be so good for a studio or discerning touring musician.
