This is a handmade pedal built using a point-to-point connection based on the EarthQuaker Devices Black Ash circuit. 
In this pedal, the part that controls the voltage applied to the transistor is implemented as a bias control on the outside of the enclosure. The adjustment range has been expanded compared to the original. Turning it counterclockwise produces a rough, choppy distortion, while turning it clockwise gradually smooths it out, increasing the output and sustain. There are no points where no sound is produced.
