Offered here is an excellent, all-original example of a Yamano-imported 1996 Gibson Les Paul Standard, finished in a stunning Honeyburst over a beautifully figured two-piece maple top, complemented by a one-piece mahogany back. This particular example boasts a wonderfully subtle and tasteful burst.
Included in the sale is the originally supplied brown Gibson branded TKL Les Paul-shaped brown hardcase with a pink interior and velvet cover.
This exceptional Les Paul exemplifies Gibson's renowned craftsmanship from that so called "good-wood" era and stands out as one of the more picture-perfect plain-tops we've sourced.
Striking and solidly built, these 90’s Les Pauls are celebrated and it's evident why.. A straightforward comparison with a current Gibson USA Les Paul reveals a marked difference in fit and finish.
Condition-wise, this Les Paul is in superb form. It is fully functional and free of any breaks or repairs. Cosmetically, it presents as a well-maintained example, showing only a few light surface marks along with some age-related cracking in the binding. Additional wear is limited to minor belt rash and tasteful lacquer crazing consistent with its age.
The ’60s slim-taper neck profile and fretboard remain in excellent condition, with all 22 frets showing minimal wear and plenty of life remaining. The original electronics function flawlessly, while the stock humbuckers offer an impressive range of tones. The 490R neck pickup, fitted with Alnico II magnets, delivers a warm, vintage-voiced character, while the slightly overwound 498T bridge pickup, powered by Alnico V magnets, provides additional punch, clarity, and output.
The guitar remains completely original.
