Behold! The Ibanez Jem 77-FP circa 1991. Streamlining my collection and although I absolutely love this instrument it is just not making the music that it should be under my care. Specs are available via if you want to deep dive but some basics that you probably already know are:
Japanese made, basswood body, rosewood on maple neck, 24 frets with top 4 scalloped, PAF humbuckers in HSH config, Floyd, monkeygrip, contoured neckjoint and just an all-round bad mamajama! Plays great, sounds great, looks great. Loves .09s, doesn't like .10s so much. There are some obvious battlescars that are purely aesthetic. Otherwise it's a sonic dreamboat.
Truly a beautiful instrument and unbelievable playability. Currently has a 3-way switch installed but original 5-way switch included (this is how I have set it up for me - HH style - but easily returned to original configuration).
I would really love to see this guitar go to an appreciative player that will make some music with it for the next chapter of its life. It's pricey I know but all the best guitars are I guess. Seems to be fair market value compared to some recent sales and a realistic street value compared to inflated Reverb prices. No case! I have an old tweed case or can find something for shipping. Paypal accepted and happy to post on negotiation. Questions? Thanks!
