Kurt Cobain Vandalism Strat - Left Handed Custom Built Replica With Hard Shell Case

Own a piece of music history with this faithful tribute to Kurt Cobain’s legendary “Vandalism” Stratocaster. Famously wielded during Nirvana’s explosive Nevermind era. It was Kurt's go to guitar up until the end of 1991 when he smashed it onstage, destroying it. Like the original guitar it's left handed. It's ideal for both left-handed players or anyone looking for a very accurate replica even if it means playing it upside down Jimi Hendrix style. It's not just for display. It was built to match the original guitar's feel, tone, and playability as closely as possible. The guitar has been relic'd to look like the original and includes the famous "Vandalism" bumper sticker on the front that gives the guitar its name. The pictured hard shell case is included. Here are some details:

• The guitar weighs in at 7.7lbs and is perfectly balanced. The body has been relic'd, including the famous duct tape Kurt applied to the strap buttons as seen in later photos of the guitar.
• The maple neck has an oil finish giving it a smooth satin feel. It has a genuine rosewood fretboard and a thin, modern‑style C profile with a moderate taper (.80"@1st, .90@12th). It has a 10" radius, 22 medium-jumbo frets and a bone nut. The frets are level, polished and smoothly rolled over at the ends. Even if you were to hate everything else about the guitar chances are you'll love the neck!
• The bridge is equipped with a Seymour Duncan SH-1N '59 neck humbucker which was known to be equipped in the original. (7.6K) It nails that signature 1991 Nirvana vibe, a totally raw, heavy as hell distortion sound that somehow stays clear giving it that classic grunge edge. The middle and neck are each 90s era ceramic pickups. (M 5.8K N 5.6K). They are very similar in spec to the stock pickups that were equipped in the original guitar and never swapped out. The middle pickup is RWRP.
• Both the volume and tone1 are controlled by full size 250K pots. The volume is wired with a treble bleed circuit to prevent tone changes when rolling down the volume. Tone1 controls the tone for the middle and neck and is connected to a .022 µF capacitor. Tone2 controls the tone for the bridge and utilizes is a 500K pot wired to a .047 µF capacitor. A high quality Switchcraft audio jack is also installed. All the electronics have been fully shielded with copper foil.
• The guitar has a high quality, 6 point tremolo bridge with a large, heavy block and comes with a balled end, push in style tremolo arm. Arm tension is adjustable with a small hex wrench. The adjustment hole is located behind the block.
• Also equipped are high quality, Schaller style, locking tuners with a 1:18 gear ratio. They turn smoothly, are extremely precise and provide excellent tuning stability. It will arrive strung with new Ernie Ball 10-46 strings.
• The guitar will ship in the pictured new hard shell case and be very well protected in a heavy-duty guitar shipping box. An extra bumper sticker will be included with the shipment just in case it ever needs to be replaced.
