1976 Morley Power Wah PWO – Tel-Ray Chrome

1976 Morley Power Wah PWO – Tel-Ray Electronics – Burbank, California

Vintage Morley Power Wah, Model PWO, manufactured by Tel-Ray Electronics Mfg. Co. in Burbank, California.

Serial number: 44740

Internal component dating is consistent with 1976 production, including a transformer date code of 7640, indicating approximately the 40th week of 1976.

This pedal came to me untested and has been carefully cleaned, inspected and serviced while retaining the original vintage circuitry.

Service performed includes:

• Complete interior and exterior cleaning
• Circuit-board solder connections inspected and reflowed as necessary
• Optical wah light bulb replaced and sensor cleaned
• Original light hood and optical control flap cleaned and resecured
• Wah mechanism inspected and adjusted
• Fully tested and functioning properly

The original Morley/Tel-Ray optical wah system is intact and operating correctly. The pedal uses a light source and photo-sensitive circuit rather than a conventional wah potentiometer to control the sweep.

The original AC power cord and internal electronics remain in place.

Please note: the large original MORLEY badge from the front of the enclosure is missing. This is clearly reflected in the photographs and has no effect on operation.

The chrome enclosure shows normal scratches and cosmetic wear consistent with its age, but presents well overall. The treadle rubber is intact.

The pedal is fully functional and produces the characteristic wide-sweep vintage Morley Power Wah sound.

Please review all photographs closely for cosmetic condition and internal construction.
