Lemur Removable Neck Upright Bass

Selling an excellent Lemur Flyaway removable neck bass.  This is their flat back Liberty Belle model, made in 2013, and it’s the Rolls-Royce of built-for-travel basses.  I believe this is a hybrid, with a spruce top.  These basses haven’t been in production for years, and while Lemur seems to be planning to start making them again, here’s your chance to get one at a steal without getting on a waitlist.

This bass has some minor wear, consistent with 13 years of professional use, but is in great shape overall.  There is a small weather-related crack in the top (as shown in photo- not by the bass bar or soundpost!) which has been professionally repaired and is nice and stable.

It’s a really nice little bass!  Strong low end, even sound across the instrument, and feels great to play.  It’s dramatically better than other travel basses that I’ve played, it really feels and sounds like a real bass.  It was apparently designed with jazz and folk players in mind, but sounds great with the bow.

These basses were originally listed for $8,900 when they were being made.  I’ve got other bass purchases to make and I want this one out of my studio apartment so I’m asking $7,000.  Pickup in Brooklyn, NY.  If you’re on the east coast and you want the bass, we can potentially work out a delivery option.  

Comes with a Fishman Full-Circle pickup and a padded Lemur gig bag (slightly worn but has plenty of life left.)  I do not have a Lemur flight case, but they are still making those and you can order one through them!
