1968 Fender Super Reverb — will take offers

This is a real 1968 Fender Super Reverb, and it’s an absolutely killer amp.

I’ve owned this amp for years, and it has been used in some capacity on every record I’ve made. It’s one of those amps that just does the thing — huge, dimensional Fender cleans, incredible breakup when you push it, and the kind of reverb and tremolo that reminds you why people chase old Fender amps in the first place.

Has the famous AB763 circuit of black face super reverbs. This is a transitional era amp. It is a black face circuit but with a silver face appearance. If you know about these amps…you know the era.

The four 10” speakers are original, which is pretty remarkable for an amp of this age.

Everything works as it should, including the reverb, tremolo and original-style footswitch. It has also had a modern, longer grounded power cord installed, which makes it considerably more practical to actually use.

Cosmetically, it shows its age exactly the way a 58-year-old working amplifier should. This has never been a museum piece. It has been played, recorded, moved around and loved.

I’m intentionally not making a bunch of claims about transformers, caps, circuit originality, etc. because I haven’t personally verified every component and I’d rather be completely straightforward about what I know.

It has been serviced by legendary amp tech Bob Dixon in Los Angeles as long as I have had it.

What I do know is that it sounds fantastic.

If you’re looking for a pristine collector piece to put under glass, this probably isn’t it.

If you’re looking for an actual late-’60s Super Reverb that has spent its life making music and still sounds phenomenal, this is that amp.

ALSO, comes with a rolling case on casters that is very solid and keeps the amp protected and mobile.

Local pickup in Los Angeles strongly preferred due to size, weight, and the fact that shipping a Super Reverb sounds like an excellent way to ruin everyone’s week.
