Here we have another piece that streams AD via Lightpipe for easy interfacing and adding on to any system that has Adat.

These are a Decent project studio AD converter and preamp setup when stock but we have moved them into new territory with the modifications.

The design uses BB 163Ua preamps that offer decent headroom but lack general musicality and bandwidth for our ears.

The noise floor is decent with average figures but as always our goal is to take it to a whole new place.

So about the modifications:

On these we do a complete Preamp overhaul as well as the entire audio path upgrade for the absolute best possible performance with the design using a number of our proprietary secrets.

Its a bit of Pepper and a lot of the Secret sauce that we use on all of our modifications.

The entire power supply section is then overhauled and modified for better longevity, lower noise and better current delivery for the hungry new opamps.

The bandwidth is increased with better low end response and top ends response.

The detail comes up considerably as well as the headroom for more musical sounding audio.

The noise floor is also lowered by 7db as well making this a very musical sounding box worthy of a lot of different applications such as live concerts, remote recording to name a few.
