Ivy Pedals Filter IV v2 - NEW - SUNSET Red/Orange/Yellow 2026

Ivy Pedals is back with a new Filter IV v2 / Version 2 analog multi-mode filter batch in the SUNSET colorway. This new version, v2, is the same Filter IV, but with a brand new control, the Q-Boost, which makes this pedal much more effective at low/very low frequencies, and can induce oscillation and noise at very high Frequency settings. I built a trio of these SUNSET Red/Orange/Yellow/Black Filter IV effects pedals in late August '26, and this is the third batch.

The Filter IV v2 is a versatile audio tool capable of a variety of filter types, shapes, and sounds. Featuring two analog filters (low-pass filter and high-pass filter, indeed the HPF-2 and LPF-2 circuits), each with independent level/frequency/resonance settings; all of your static filter needs and wants are met in one pedal.

Ivy Pedals Filter IV is capable of seven basic filter types: Low-Pass, High-Pass, Band-Pass, Band-Stop (Notch), Low-Shelf, High-Shelf, and Band-Shelf. These filters can be achieved by using the right settings for the center switch, frequency, and volume controls...

Controls:

SERIES/PARALLEL SWITCH - this switch puts the filters in series or parallel. In Series, you have a band-pass, and in parallel, you are mixing the filters together, which allows for shelving filters, using a single filter, a notch filter, and more.

Q-BOOST - increases Q by ~300% - DOWN=Off / MIDDLE=Both On / UP=HPF-ONLY [LPF-only mode can be accessed using the switch on the LPF Q control]

Volume - Sets the level of the filter output. Mix level when in parallel.

Frequency - Sets the cutoff frequency of the filter, the point at which the filter starts. LPF is 'off' at 10 and HPF is 'off' at 0.

Q (Resonance) - Sets the 'quality factor' of the filter, adding a sharp peak near the cutoff frequency. Default to ~2, 10 is razor sharp and 0 is ultra-flat. LPF only Q-Boost can be accessed using the switch on the lower/left end LPF Q knob.

This pedal features true bypass switching and runs on a 9v-12v center negative DC power supply. Designed for use with guitar, bass, synthesizers, and more. Input on right, output on left!

These pedals are designed so that, while the HPF may restrict certain (5+ string) bass guitar frequencies, the LPF will pass that frequency range.

HOW TO MAKE THE FILTERS

(Set Q to 2 as default, adjust as desired, does not change filter type)

Band Pass = Switch up, volumes on, HPF freq. lower than LPF freq.

Band Stop (Notch) = Switch down, volumes on, HPF freq. higher than LPF freq.

Band Shelf (EQ) = Switch down, volumes on, HPF freq. lower than LPF freq.

Low-Pass = Switch down, HPF volume to zero/off

Low-Shelf = Switch Down, volumes on, HPF freq. at 0

High-Pass = Switch down, LPF volume to zero/off

High-Shelf = Switch Down, volumes on, LPF freq. at 10
