Priced to sell time to liquidate. Here is my bass amp that I have used for years in shows. The condition is good given the fact that it is 64 years old.  These amps were not only made to last but still sought after heavily today for that very reason. Sound is one of the reasons why mostly.  For guitar? The closed back 2 X 12  cab with a 50 Watt tube head are just the absolute best.  For bass just a s good.  I have used for bass and it sound absolutely amazing ! Had comments from many stage techs on how good it sounds.

HISTORY- I am only the second owner and purchased from a music store in Nashville Tenn. The amp was brought in by the musician’s wife that was a professional recording musician-artist that smoked a whole hell of a lot.  Back then (and it makes me cringe) cats would place there burning cigs on top of the amp both live in clubs or big stage as well as in the studio. As such, when I purchased there were 15 to 20  nasty and ugly cigarette black and brown very unsightly burns into the top of the head tolex.

Not only a huge eyesore but I needed the amp to look fairly new for a 60’s tribute show. I had the top of the amp touched up as best as I could yet still leave original and they did a good job. Naturally the melted tolex is unable to really be repaired very successfully and I wished to leave the tolex original and  the touch up looks good. From conversational distance of a few feet hard to really notice. One has to get real close to see the evidence. It just nasty and it disgusts me to think of doing that but it was commonplace back then.  Nobody thought about 60 + years later I guess. However no residual stench in the amp head, tolex, cloth, etc...Probably been at least 30 yesrs since smoking environment so no stink.

HEAD-This is a 6G6 “A” model. My electronics knowledge is limited thus I have included detailed photos of all of the electronics. One transformer has apparently been replaced, and they had the foresight to date it, the 12-11-88.

All of the other transformers, pots, resistors appear to be original but please study the pictures real well. The power cord has been replaced to a 3 prong modern grounded cord.

Cabinet-Speakers have coded out to 1962 Fender Oxfords and sound just fantastic. I took pics of the larger damage spots on the cabinet which are few. It appears as if someone had the cab placed in front of something else ( maybe another cab) as there is some lighter discoloration on the cab back (see pic.)  Corners appear to be original s to the tilt back stands and clamping mechanism  on the head.

Cloth- Good shape and beautiful contrasting Oxblood original as well as emblems.

These amps in mint shape can garner up to 6k plus easily and are becoming more and more rare each day. Grab this one as you will be loving the killer sound it has and it looks good too.

No returns all sales are final so ask questions ( if I can answer them I will) and again study the pics. I will consider ship or local pick up.  The amp and cab will be very well packaged in bubble wrap and foam  for transport via UPS ground and will ship in 2 parcels.

Pretty firm on price, SHIPS TO LOWER 48 ONLY NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING.
