The strainer and tension rods are in good condition and working well, the hoops have been replaced with modern triple flange hoops and the internal muffler was removed at some point in time. The batter head is a Remo Weatherking Coated Ambassador, the snare side head is a Remo Weatherking Ambassador Snare and the currently installed wires are 16 strand.

"The shell is made of anodized aluminum with the batter and snare edges turned over for extra strength. Its sound and tone are almost as good as the sound of a chrome plated, solid brass shell. Rapid strainer, tone control, sixteen wire snappy snares. Rim Shot hoops, and plastic heads are standard. Ideal for students with a limited budget.
