Personal Thoughts:
This is a really classy Les Paul Standard and a particularly nice take on the traditional ’50s formula. The Honey Burst finish looks superb over the maple top, and the Faded satin nitro treatment gives the guitar a more natural, played-in feel without going anywhere near full relic territory. Paired with the rosewood board and nickel hardware, it has a warm, understated vintage look.
The rounded ’50s neck gives it a substantial and comfortable feel in the hand, while the mahogany body and carved maple top provide the classic Les Paul balance of warmth, sustain and attack. The Burstbucker 1 and 2 pairing is a great fit, offering an open, vintage-inspired humbucker voice with plenty of clarity, woody mids and enough bite for driven rhythm and lead work. A very straightforward but extremely effective Les Paul that captures a lot of the appeal of a vintage-style Standard at a more accessible level than the Custom Shop models.
Condition Report:
Mint condition. Presents exceptionally well overall, with no noteworthy marks, fret wear or signs of use to mention. Supplied with its original Gibson hardshell case and associated documentation.
